Top Suzara

Top Suzara’s Carry On
Whether he likes it or not, TOP SUZARA’s debut solo album from Universal Records, CARRY ON, will be branded as a post-Freestyle outing. Top Suzara opted to keep quiet the past seasons, right after his decision to leave the band. There was the usual emotional setback, which he amazingly converted into positive energy. His own deep well of feelings, from all the triumphs and heartaches, Top could easily tap. Being a prolific tune weaver who can comfortably write three to four songs a day. The more Top became inspired and challenged. His creative juices continuously poured, to come up with 14 of the most touching and heartwarming songs he has ever written. All of them can now be heard in the newly released “Carry On” album. Obviously the albums repertoire is simply personal. But they are common experiences, which can relate to everybody. Songs with themes and messages that have also been parts of several colorful lives. Take the carrier single, “Sabihin Mo Na”. It is a love anthem with different twist. An apology extends to a vow of everlasting romance. “Sabihin Mo Na” has been translated into a music video and is now one of the most requested items in MYX music channel. It is not surprising that the initial Top Suzara single would be a current entry in MYX Top Ten Daily Countdown. “On The Sand”, another song in the “Carry On” album, is receiving heavy airplay on NU-Rock 107. Soon it would be a No.1 entry to the radio station’s hit list. All of the songs in “Carry On” are very radio friendly. Different stations may have their own favorites, just as all of those who will listen to the potential multi-platinum disc. Top has performed and created several Freestyle hits, beginning with “Before I Let You Go” in the past. Now the sensitive, sensible and prolific hit maker has a new, fresh start as a solo artist with his “Carry On” album. A personal pick in the album is a “senti” outing, “Angel Eyes”. Anyone who has lost a loved one will surely be touched by this ballad. “Magpakailanman” is the Pilipino version of “Angel Eyes” which has assumed a more universal appeal with its Tagalog lyrics. Top goes light and breezy in “Overcast”, a grower of a song, which sings of simple pleasures. The songs in Top Suzara’s “Carry On” are a wholesome blend of folk, rock, R&B, new wave and pop. Whichever way Top goes, he brings his listeners to pleasurable, memorable musical trips. The Top Suzara “Carry On” album launch was held at Mugen Bar in Metrowalk with Sports Connection Philippines, Inc. (exclusive licensee of Champion Apparel) as sponsor.
